Wayne: You have been featured on Martha Stewart Living, the Today Show and notice by some big designer names. Tell us how that exposure has changed your business?
Jess: I think the article in Martha Stewart launched the brand in to a more main stream circuit. Until then, while the dolls had definitely gained popularity, they were still mostly being recognized by artisan shops and people close to my field. I did a project with the company Bottega Venetta. This pushed the brand into a more fashion based direction and led the way to the women’s collection.
Wayne: Where do you see your business in 5 years from now?
Jess: My hope is that it continues to thrive. The women’s and home collection are being very well received. I’m headed in to my 8th season and I’m really enjoying it. I think the dolls in 5 years will continue to be a modern heirloom that is thoughtfully made.
Wayne: Thank you very much for your time and good luck to you.
Jess: Thank you for the interview.
