When thinking back to beginning of Cocoagraph, Vittorelli recalled, “My photo background and my sculpture background kind of came together and I decided to do a chocolate Polaroid, which I thought would be fun, and that’s sort of where Cocoagraph came from … Everything’s kind of stuck in this digital world, and so it’s kind of a fun way to print something that’s edible.”

Vittorelli chose Petaluma for her shop in part because she found a nice storefront but, also, because she always loved Petaluma and its art and history. Vittorelli said, “Being here was kind of a bonus for me. It’s a cool town and I feel that this place would sort of embrace what I’m doing and it kind of goes along with the vibe of the town.”

In the future of Cocoagraph, Vittorelli hopes to be able to collaborate with local artists by featuring their art on her chocolates and talking about what they are doing. “Being an artist myself,” Vittorelli said, “this is a really cool way and a fun way for me to sort of give back to the art community and involve that in what I’m doing. So that’s kind of what I hope with the future.”

  1. The correct address is 600 Petaluma Blvd South. This is a famous local location in Petaluma because it housed Millie’s Chili Bar for years. Millie’s was a favorite lunch spot for year, run by two sister. Rumor has it that the one with the famous chili recipe went to her grave never sharing it…even with her sister. The building was featured in the movie Peggy Sue Got Married.

  2. What is the address of the cocoa store? Did Zi miss it in the article? Can’t go by there if Zi don’t know where it is located

    1. See Houston’s post above. The address is on the third page of the article at the very bottom. Click the page numbers at the bottom of each page to maneuver. The best piece is the video on page 3.
