Here’s an inside look at the operation there in Petaluma. Hope you enjoy!”
We learned a lot about this growing music company on this virtual tour and thought you might like it.

Local Entrepreneur and Owner of Petaluma Ca Three Twins Ice Cream Company, Neal Gottlieb, will cast on next Survivor Kaoh Rong.
On his CBS profile when asked Why You Think You’ll “Survive” SURVIVOR:
“I will be the provider for the group and the court jester. I will be a calming force and the one that psyches up the tribe to go into battle. I am a strong swimmer and will be a valuable hunter, fisher and gatherer for the group. I have a tireless work ethic and will contribute more than my fair share towards building a strong shelter, cooking and getting water. I am most often happy, quite witty, never complain and am generally entertaining, which will help to keep the peace during tough and stressful times. I am physically and mentally strong, I was a competitive athlete for years, I am a fast runner and sharp, so I will be strong in challenges.”
Here is the trailer for the next season of Survivor.
I am always impressed with our local businesses that give back to the community. In February Petaluma Dental Group is doing just that. On Friday February 12 they will be providing free exams and sealants for families in need with uninsured kids between the ages of 3-18.
All you got to do is give them a call to schedule an appointment at (707) 766-0377. If you know a family in need pass this post along to them, I am sure they will appreciate it.
We want nice smiles in Petaluma! You can also check out some very nice reviews on their Yelp page.

Here are some of our highlights from 2015:
#1 Hit on BING and Yahoo search engines for keyword “Petaluma”
Often I walk around our city and disgusted by vandals tagging our beautiful downtown. Previously I always had good intentions on calling it in, but would often forget. It was not an efficient process. I am pleased to report that it is now a lot easier! The City of Petaluma recently released a New Citizen Request SystemengagEPetaluma app you can download to your smart phone. Using this app I was able to quickly take a photo of the graffiti from the app and report it to Public Works.
This is how it works.
First download the app to your smart phone – I am using an Apple iPhone so I went to the Apple Store and searched “engagepetaluma” and downloaded the app. When downloaded it takes just a minute or two to set up your account.
After launching the app on your smart phone, click on the large ‘+‘ icon in the bottom middle of the screen. You will get another screen that prompts you to choose which service you are requesting to report. In my case today, I wanted to report graffiti. It then showed my location on the map and it automatically fills the location of where you are requesting the service (So Public Works knows where to find it). It then prompts you to take a photo from your device – which I did and shown below.
Almost immediately I received an email confirming my service request.
A very short time later I received an email indicating that someone from Petaluma Public Works posted the following comment on my service request:
Stephanie Oefinger:
Thank you for your submission, we value your feedback. We will make every effort to address your request in a timely manner. Thank you, Public Works & Utilities Department

Soon after that I received another status update indicating that the work order was “In Progress”. On the website link that is provided in the email I was able to see all the other requests and statuses Public Works is working on.
I encourage everyone to download the engagEPetaluma app and start using it today. It took a few seconds of my day to stop and report something and it was extremely easy to use. I am sure it will take a few days for them to get around painting over this tag, but at least Public Works knows about it and is working on it.

Here is a great appetizer you can impress your guests with this year over the holidays.
Savory Holiday Apple Tarts
Simple savory crunchy bites are sure to be a hit at your next gathering! Crisp bits of pesto coated apples paired with a creamy, smokey cheddar cheese filling.
In a small mixing bowl mix together diced apples and fresh pesto until apples are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
In a small mixing bowl; beat cream cheese until smooth. Add shredded cheddar, butter, lemon juice and smoked paprika and beat for 1 minute. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
Remove shells from the freezer. Preheat oven to 350′. When oven is heated; place shells on a baking sheet and fill each one with 1 tsp. of the cheese mixture. Bake for three minutes; or until warmed through and puffed. Remove from oven and spoon 1 TBSP. of the pesto apples on top of each tart.
This could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Most of you know that KTVU anchor Ken Wayne is from Petaluma. We appreciate his coverage of our town when he is given the opportunity. We hope in the future KTVU can work harder to do more positive pieces on our city. If you are a subscriber on our site you know that there is an endless supply of good news stories that KTVU could cover but chooses not to. Prior to this report their focus was on DUIs the Friday before Thanksgiving – which is not just a Petaluma centric problem but more of a global one. I don’t blame Ken for this because he doesn’t choose what he will cover.
We are happy for our local gun store owner, but the controversy continues about gun control especially in light of how our government has reacted to the recent terrorist acts in San Bernardino. We choose not to share political pieces, however we couldn’t decide if this was good or bad news. We need your help, so we will leave that up to you.
